Who is this inner child that talks to us while we walk, talk, exist in the waking world? How does a remnant of our childhood experience inform how we perceive our lover, our friends, our boss, our colleagues? My inner child was starving for attention. I had neglected him for years...and untangling this link reminded me I could start to be kind to myself and that I need not be perfect, or save anyone.
